Good location for visiting several castles.
The hotel closes for two days a weeks.
The hotel is very charmy!
The internet was not in good operation. Despite that, the breakfast was always very poor in itens. The prive that was charged was enough to offer a good breakfast. Sincerely, very poor breakfast.
Location.......close to Chambord chateau, and nice small villages.
Very expensive dinners considering the absence of other amenities. This was our first night in France, and for the next 3 weeks of travel, we seldom saw such high prices for similar meals. There were a fair number of people eating there, so I guess it caters mostly to those willing to pay high prices.
staff welcoming..rooms light and clean...location good for what we wanted
We enjoyed our stay but found the lack of tea making facilities in rooms not good for us. The food was lovely but too much and too late for us. There was no access to English news....everything in French...the access to internet poor in the rooms. Not complaints observations.
modern, comfortable, good beds, good wifi signal, very good restaurant and if the restaurant is closed, they will organise booking to other good restaurants near by.
The staff was very welcoming upon our arrival, and answered all our inquiries about local attractions in a helpful way. The restaurant provided an excellent dinner with impeccable service. We were very pleased with our experience.
The hotel is easily reachable and situated in an interesting region (vallee de la Loire). Very close to the Blois town.
The room (1st floor, road side) was noisy. Probabily the hotel is not "charming" enough to be in the "Chateaux et Hotels" catalog.
Close to the Chambord castle, this hotel was like a hidden treasure. It was not a "luxury" hotel but beautifully decorated with lovely taste and modern bathroom. We booked the hotel's restaurant (a michelin star) - great food, wine, service, atmosphere, maybe reasonable price for what you receive. We really had a great time, highly recommended!
The evening meal was a real gourmet treat and great value at 38e.
Breakfast at 9.50e per person was very basic. The only coffee available was ordinary black coffee in a hot jug and it was always lukewarm.
Incredible dinner and unique countryside....
The food was excellent. Air conditioning made the stay more comfortable as it was very hot.
The rooms were rather basic.
Inside it was new and modern, but it had the charm of an older building in a small village. The Restaurant was outstanding.
Pleasant front desk staff that spoke English. Charming room (1 of 8 rooms altogether) w/ wooden floors & exposed beams on ceiling, like a country lodge. Very comfortable, large bed, & very clean room. Immediate, hot water. Free parking. Located on main st of Montlivault (very small, rural town in lovely countryside) Close to several chateaus & wonderful city of Blois (great for walking.) Breakfast for 9 eu was worth it. Didn't know to make reservations for hotel restaurant before we arrived. No reservations available for us so can't comment on cuisine.
Could have used a lift. Small, curved staircase would be difficult for anyone w/disability. Because hotel is very small & old, the walls seemed especially thin. (Conversations of people in next room could sometimes be clearly heard.)
The hotel situate near Chambord in small town. In the hotel there is a wonderful restaurant with grate cuisine.
The proprietor was very helpful. The quality of the food and service we received in the restaurant was excellent
